

Aging with Vitality: a feminine experience
We are a unique group of people. Women who grew up during the sexual revolution, used a typewriter for term papers and lived during a time when women weren't allowed to open a credit card in their own name. We broke through barriers creating room for new ones to be challenged. As we enter the time of life where we reap the benefits of our labor we are again presented with barriers. We are the carries of wisdom and experience and are exactly what society needs to heal. To do that, we need to turn inward and reclaim the feminine power of aging in ourselves.
Each class in this 8-week series blends movement, breath, chanting and meditation as well as discussions around our own experiences. Together you can challenge societal stores and empower yourself to embrace aging with strength, vitality and joy.
This series is different from a general group yoga class. Each person has a 30 minute private intake before enrolling; allowing me to understand your unique needs, goals and physical concerns which in turns creates a space where you are seen and accounted for.
Each week the classes builds from the previous week. Each class is an hour and a half long with approximately 45 minutes of movement.
Agism is alive and well and so interwoven into our consciousness we often can't untangle agist views from reality. These views are detrimental to our longevity and happiness. Aging with Vitality starts exploring and detangling negative agist beliefs. It moves into processing and releasing what was and moves toward building a future open to possibilities.
Aging for Vitality is open to women who want to explore their uniquely feminine journey into aging. If you are unable to sit on the floor a sturdy chair can be used. The focus of this series is on creating a supportive environment for all participants. No prior yoga experience is necessary.
The instructional part of the classes will be recorded so if you can't make every class you can still participate.
