The Heart of Yoga is yoga through the eyes of T.K.V. Desikachar. This book touches on the history of yoga, the importance of breath and movement, as well as highlighting yoga poses. This is the yoga philosophy I embrace and bring forth in my yoga classes. The information is great but may be boring to those that don't "geek out" on yoga. The part I find myself reading over and over is the last section; Mr. Desikachar's interpretation of the yoga sutras. He simplifies and makes relevant these incredible teachings.
